Church is really a trip! It is the only organization known to man that has a self-worthy concept built around the despair and loneliness of people in need . The sad thing about this epidemic is that it is all being done in the name of God. In the secular world most people realize that a star is born everyday and they set out to try and find those new shining stars. But nooooo not in the church? The church could have a congregation full of shining stars and yet only allow those stars to shine so bright.
Meaning, when you go to church sure they will do what they think to you is a favor by letting you perform and in some cases minister. But what they fail to realize is that you are not doing the talent a favor by letting them go forth. When in fact the church needs the solicited help of volunteers in order for it to function properly. If God intended for just the pastor to flourish in church well then He would just send angles down to serve at church and not real people?
I love what Bishop Jake's said last Sunday he said and I quote"I am not going to move forward and leave you behind"! I started jumping and screaming like "yea that's what I am talking about". How many years are you going to sit at your church and let your pastor and first lady or co-pastor supersede you? When are you going to do an evaluation on your productivity since you have been a member at your church? Do you not know that God not only wants your leaders blessed but He also wants you blessed too.
Once you figure this out you will wake up! And I mean wake up to the fact that if you have been apart of a ministry for a certain amount of time then you should have a certain amount of progress right? And I am not just talking about spiritually but mentally and physically as well. That's what one of our issues is as church folk is that we are satisfied with the crumbs that our leaders leave for us while they feast on the fats and fruits of the land. Now you know just as well as I do that if you worked for your job for a certain amount of time with no bonus, raise or recognition than you would have something to say or you would move on.
So why on God's green earth do we allow the people at church to dictate our futures and keep us up under their feet and unjust rule. We sit their and let our leaders, their clergy and children run well ahead of us while we lag behind thinking that they are somewhat more worthy of being more blessed than us. When the facts are that they are no better than us, they are not God but messengers of God just like us. So why do we allow them to excel with our time, talent and tenth while we sit and wait on God to come and save us?
When the truth is they don't wait! They wait long enough for us to drop a dime in the bucket and to prostitute our gifts and as soon as that is done they propel to whatever it is that want to do next. Well guess what the time has come for us to stop allowing and yes I said allowing these egotistical rulers to leave us behind. We can take a strand against their unauthorized lordship if we make Jesus our Lord. He will open doors and order our steps according to His word. We have to stop letting people who say that they are of God order of steps keeping us in fear and bondage to their wants, needs and commands.
Give Christ your life and will today and He will send you leaders after His own heart! God will give you strength to leave Pharaoh and to sit up under a Moses some one who cares for you and does not just want to use you. If you have been in church a long time and find yourself STUCK but your leaders are progressing at a rapid pace then this word is for you. Get up from the Gate called Beautiful pick up your things and walk!
